Hello TCC,
As you’re all aware, the COVID-19 virus has not passed over yet, and we as an elder time have been devoting ourselves to prayer and fasting over the issue, seeking the Lord and His wisdom on how to move forward as a church. Based on what we have felt the Lord speaking and because of the request of our governmental authorities (Rom. 13:1-3), we find it best to change the formatting of our services for the next few weeks.
Instead of meeting in our building, we will be doing our Sunday service digitally at 11am on Facebook Live, as well as having it available on the homepage of tccknox.com. The format will look a little different than our usual services. As we meet, we will share in a time of worship, a devotional, and something like a Family Meeting where we will address some of the big questions about what is going on in our world right now. We encourage you to join in as a household, and also to share the stream to let your friends and family who may be unchurched join in with us. This is an opportunity for us to walk in the peace of God consistently and be the light in a world filled with fear.
The rest of our events including house churches will also be postponed until further notice, as we all band together in accordance with the recommendations of the authorities. We hope and pray that this will be short-lived, and that we will all be able to be together very soon.
During this time of protective distancing, we will be offering ways for you to safely serve those around you, with both emotional support and prayer. Starting next week, each evening (Monday-Saturday) at 7 pm one of the elders will go Live on our Facebook page to lead us in prayer for everyone around the world who are fighting this virus in different ways. We will also offer you ways to make sure that even though we are apart physically, we remain close and connected to one another emotionally.
We love each of you so much and pray for you daily. The Lord is with us, we don’t need to be in fear over this but can rest in the presence of the Most High as we enjoy some extra Sabbath and family time over the coming weeks.
If you find yourself in need due to the COVID-19 situation, or you know of someone in our body who is struggling, we want to help! Please Click Here and fill out the form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He cause His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.
Blessings,
Tyler & the Elders of TCC
