WHEN, Saturday, 10/20
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
(but please arrive a little earlier to sign in and especially if you have not pre-registered; also, FYI, the event may end earlier. Last year, it ended around noon).
WHERE: Knoxville Civic Coliseum
WHY: To help raise awareness of and to end human trafficking (modern day slavery) around the world. This event is held the same day in cities around the world, so you are marching with thousands of others to take a stand against modern day slavery!
OTHER INFO:
1. People typically wear all black and walk silently, often with tape across their mouths (provided on-site) to indicate that the victims do not have a voice and cannot speak for themselves. Signs are available there to carry on the walk.
2. Parking is available in the Coliseum parking lot and is free for this event.
3. I’m not sure whether there is a registration fee. I’m looking into it and will get back to you later this morning.
4. If there are any questions, people can contact me at 865-227-8929 or visit the A21 website at www.a21.org.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks, everyone!
